Where can I view my Simply Gift card balance?

Upon receipt of your physical or digital code, simply follow the instructions to enter the redemption site applicable to your particular card. You will see your balance in the top right hand corner of the home page on the redemption site.

How long before my card expires?

All Simply Gift Cards physical cards and Simply Gift e-gift codes are valid for 12 Months from the date of purchase. After this this date all funds on the card/code will be lost. Once you have swapped your Simply Gift Card value for a retailer e-code you are then bound by the expiry date rules of the particular retailer e-code.

Can I add money to my Simply Gift Card value to purchase something more expensive on the website?

Yes. You can add cash to purchase a higher value physical gift item at checkout with a credit or debit card.

Buying FAQs

Is there a minimum/maximum amount that I can buy with a Simply Gift card?

The minimum purchase is £10 with a maximum of £1,000 via the website. Should you have a requirement that is over £1,000 then please contact us to directly so we can help facilitate.

Why is my purchase being declined on your site?

We partner with a third party payment service provider who controls the processing of credit and debit cards. There are various reasons why your purchase has been declined, including insufficient funds, incorrect card details, incorrect address details etc. The error message you receive should help explain the reason why. If you have any queries over payment issues please contact us.

How do I view order history on the ‘buy’ site?

If you have made purchases and checked out as a guest, then the only record of your order history will be in the emails sent to you at time of purchase. Please check your Spam folder in the event that they are not in your inbox. If you created an account you can click on the ‘My Account’ link in the menu of www.simplygiftcards.co.uk and click on Order history.

Why is there an Asterix against certain retailers in the Where to Spend section of the Simply Everything card?

To provide recipients of the Simply Everything gift card and e-gift with the widest range of retail options to redeem against, we have included retailers such as Amazon, Tesco, Aldi, Asda and other supermarkets in the range of available options. To be able to include these retail options we need to charge a small fee to make it commercially viable for Simply Gift Cards. The number of retailers where a fee is charged is very small ( 8 out of over 250 options) but we know some recipients will still want the flexibility to redeem against these options despite a small fee to themselves.

To be clear, the purchaser of the Simply Everything Gift Card only pays for the value loaded onto the card e.g. you pay £50 for £50 loaded onto the card (plus a delivery charge for physical cards). This only affects the Simply Everything card and no other cards in our range.

Redeeming FAQs

Why can’t I spend my card directly in-store?

Simply Gift Cards are not designed in that way. Please follow the redemption instructions on the back of the physical card, or on the email with the digital (e-gift) version and you can then swap some or all of the value on your Simply Gift Card for a retailer’s e-gift of your choice. Once you have swapped for a retailer’s e-gift code, some will allow you to spend in-store. You can check which retailers allow this by selecting ‘in-store spending’ on the retailer filter in the redemption site.

There’s a retailer logo on my Simply Gift Card that I can’t find on the redemption site?

All retailers are subject to change and availability. Please refer to our full terms and conditions.

Why can’t I swap for the retailers I want to?

If you have a Simply Stylish, Living, Delicious, Wines, Experience, or Hampers gift card you can only redeem for the retailers options selected for the theme of that card.

Do I have to redeem the full value of my Simply Gift Card in one go?

No. If you don’t spend the full amount you can return to the redemption site at a later stage (any time before the expiry of the card) and spend any remaining value.

The website is telling me my Simply Gift card is already registered or invalid, what should I do?

First of all, please double check the details on your Simply Gift Card have been entered correctly. If you are still having a problem please email us on [email protected].

Can I choose to receive physical gift cards from retailers when swapping the value of my Simply Gift Card?

No. Only a digital, e-gift card from the chosen retailer will be emailed to you. Certain retailers allow these e-gift cards to be redeemed instore so check the filters on the redemption site for more information on which retailers allow this.

I haven’t received the retailer e-gift card from the retailer that I swapped the value on my Simply Gift Card for?

This will be emailed either direct to the email address you provided us with or to the intended recipient of the retailer e-gift card. If this has not arrived please check your Spam or Junk folder.

I’ve ordered a physical gift item but it hasn’t arrived?

All orders for physical gift items received before 4pm Monday – Thursday will be despatched same day for delivery the following day. Orders received after 4pm will be despatched the following day. Orders received before 4pm on a Friday will be delivered the following Monday. For certain items e.g. Virgin Experience packages, please allow up to 5 business days for the item to arrive.

Spending FAQs

Can I give my Simply Gift Card to someone else?

Yes, as long as you haven’t already registered your card on the redemption website. Please treat your card as you would cash.

Can I change my mind once I’ve swapped my Simply Gift card value for a retailer e-gift card?

No. Once you have ordered the retailer e-gift card it is not possible to cancel or exchange a retailer e-gift code.

Can I order any value of retailer e-gift cards?

Potentially, but this depends on the retailer. They all allow different values to be loaded so please see website at the time of ordering.

What happens if I’ve lost the retailer e-gift card I ordered?

Once you’ve swapped the value of your Simply Gift Card for a retailer e-gift card you are then subject to each retailer’s own gift card terms and conditions. Simply Gift Cards are not liable for lost and stolen retailer e-gift cards or dealing with enquiries relating to lost or stolen retailer e-gift cards. You must contact the retailer directly in this instance.

My retailer e-gift card isn’t working in their store or website, what should I do?

This is the responsibility of the retailer not Simply Gift Cards so you should contact the retailer directly about this matter.

Returns & Refunds FAQs

I would like to cancel my order, what are my rights?

You have the right to cancel your Simply Gift Card order within 14 days of receiving your cards or physical gift items. Under the distance selling laws of the UK you will receive a full refund of any monies paid. If you have activated or swapped your gift card value for a retailer e-gift card within these 14 days it will be taken that you agreed to waive this right. Please see Terms & Conditions link on this website.

What happens if my Simply Gift Card is lost or stolen?

As the gift card is not personal or registered it’s as good as cash so cannot be replaced when lost or stolen. If you have written down the Gift card code or order reference number then we may be able to block the card. If you do not have these details then we will not be able to assist.
